Toyo Machinery & Metal Co., Ltd. (President: Kazunori Sogame, Headquarters at Akashi city, Japan, hereinafter called “Toyo”) started to sell the latest lineup of BD-V6 EX series Hydraulic Die Casting Machines in this April.

Based on the previous model of proven BD-V5 EX series, the BD-V6 EX series has equipped with renovated die clamping device and control system. Toyo’s technical expertise, skills and knowhow in the die casting field for over half-a-century have culminated in this BD-V6 EX series.

With this lineup, the BD-V6 EX series now has six models from BD-125V6 EX to BD-650V6 EX including BD-200V6 EX that was put in the market ahead of this lineup.(The number in the model name represents a clamping force in each model.)

Toyo has a plan to launch 800-ton or larger models in autumn this year.

The BD-V6 EX series has following features:

1. High speed tie-bar pull-out device (option)

A split-nut is employed to the tie-bar pull-out device on the stationary die plate side, so that die changing time can be greatly reduced.

2. Die clamping device with increased rigidity

To increase the rigidity of the die clamping device, guide bars are provided between the movable die plate and the link housing, so that die parallelism due to heat expansion can be dealt with.

3. Center press clamping structure

The die plate configuration is optimized by using CAE analysis, so that deflection of the die plate can be minimized. The clamping force is evenly distributed over the entire die surface, resulting in decreased defect rate of casted products.

4. New control “SYSTEM 600”

The “SYSTEM 600” control system controls the machine motion highly accurately. The screen size is 1.5 times larger than that of the previous model, so that higher legibility of the screen and machine operability can be secured.

5. Application for tablet PC (option)

Wi-Fi connection is made between die casting machines and a tablet PC, so that monitored data can be accessed and casting parameters can be changed from the tablet PC. In addition, casting conditions can be established referring to those of other die casting machines.
